Therapy for Kids

Children’s Therapy

About Therapy for Kids

  • Having a child with behavioral issues may be making it difficult for you to get through a full day of work without a call from school or daycare.

  • You may feel like you've tried all of the parenting tricks and none of them are working for your child.

  • You may be feeling frustrated by the shortage of therapists who specialize in working with children, especially children with trauma experiences.

  • Your child may feel a lack of confidence because of their school progress.

Through providing therapy for kids I have helped many children learn self-regulation skills and have helped parents/guardians like you practice different parenting techniques that work best for their children.

I also work with teachers to give them feedback on how to correct the child's behavior within the classroom. This wraparound approach to therapy for kids leads to no calls from school, no more expulsions, and a stronger parent-child bond.

I am trained to provide therapy for kids like yours. I provide therapy either in your home or in their school. I help them learn how to manage big feelings so that life doesn’t seem so scary and unpredictable.

I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an LPC license in Wisconsin. I have training and experience in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
